Hey Ya'll.  My name is Elwood and as you can see from my picture over there that I am a handsome devil.  I'm an English bulldog with some serious responsibilities.  First off my job is to protect my companion and be her guardian.  Now she thinks she is my guardian but I just let her think that to give her some self esteem.  Second, I am a writer and I write a world famous newpaper column called ASK ELWOOD.  And third,  I am an artist - a self-taught artist, I might add.

The fans of my column have been clamoring for a web page so here it is.  Just so the rest of you folks can get to know me better I'll tell you a little about myself.  I live in the Appalchian mountains of North Georgia.  I talk Appalachian dialect most of the time with a smattering of other things.  Don't matter what dialect I use, just as long as I keep it real. 

This site contains my most popular articles.  Send me your thoughts on them.  Hey, I'm thinking of puttin' them all in a book.  And just so you don't forget I got copyright on all of 'em so don't go stealing my articles.  Of course I have no problem sharing them - I'd just kinda liked to be asked about it.  I get touchy about things like that.
